Welcome to the Twin Cities CDC

Our mission; “The Twin Cities Community Development Corporation (CDC) is a membership organization led by the diverse resident and business communities of Fitchburg and Leominster. We invest in and organize the residents of these cities to help build assets such as quality housing, good jobs, strong businesses and effective leaders." We envision healthy neighborhoods where residents choose to live, work, and invest, thereby forming a powerful, unified community.
For the past twenty-six years the CDC has set forth this philosophy by working in partnership with community residents, city government, and local financial institutions to revitalize distressed neighborhoods in Fitchburg and Leominster.
Our newest focus is to move forward on a plan to revitalize one of North Central Massachusetts more troubled neighborhoods. This would include the areas north of Main Street in downtown Fitchburg. Our plan combines the efforts of many CDC departments -- Community Organizing, Economic Development, Housing Development, and Home Ownership. We hope our efforts will help generate a renewed sense of pride and ownership in this neighborhood, in the downtown business district, and city-wide through out Fitchburg.
Housing Development Director
The Twin Cities Community Development Corporation (the CDC) seeks a Housing Development Director to direct our affordable housing and related real estate development activities, and to participate in our community development work.
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Housing Development Director maintains responsibility for project management and project oversight, including moving a project from initial conception through the predevelopment, development/financing and construction phases to a final closing, lease up, occupancy and/or sale to a first-time homebuyer. The Housing Development Director works closely with other CDC staff to improve neighborhoods and bring projects to fruition.
Qualifications sought include: three years experience in community based housing development, planning, or real estate development, and a demonstrated commitment to the mission of Twin Cities CDC and to community based development work.
